Rosalee Hammons, M.S., CCC-SLP Owner, Rozy’s Speech Garden

I’m Rosalee Hammons, M.S., CCC-SLP – though most people just call me Rozy! I’m the proud owner and founder of this private practice based right here in North Denton, where I also live with my two amazing teenage daughters and husband. Like many of the families I work with, my days are full of carpools, after-school sports, and the beautiful chaos that comes with raising teens – and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Texas, completing my master’s in 2011. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to build a rich and diverse career helping children and adults across all stages of life, find their voices, improve communication, and regain vital skills.

Maddie McMickle, SPLA

Maddie McMickle is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant from UNT, where she is pursing her master’s degree in speech pathology. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, she is actively involved in her church, enjoys crafting, and values spending time with friends.

Maddie joined our team in May 2026 to assist children and adults in improving their reading, comprehension, speaking, spelling, and articulation of sounds.

Kamiya Buford, SLPA

Kamiya Buford joined our team this June as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant who will be graduating in the summer of 2027. She is ready to help both children and adults with their reading, spelling, comprehension, speaking, and articulation of sounds.

As the oldest of three children and a military brat from Fort Knox, Kamiya is super fun to work with. She brings joy to every session and truly makes learning fun.

Mirey Kim, SLPA

Fluent in both English and Korean, Mirey Kim joined us this July as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. She brings over 14 years of experience as an elementary school educator to the team.

Mirey was born in South Korea and raised Frisco, Texas. Growing up between two distinct cultures inspired her passion for learning about other and fostering meaningful relationship with families. While creating lasting memories with her family, she is also advancing her education toward a career in speech pathology. Mirey is here to help children and adults achieve their communication goals
